Fly Creek, New York - FLY CREEK - Geraldine "Geri" (Kowal) Hodgins, 77, was a beloved mother, wife, and grandmother. On Oct. 22, 2024, she passed away surrounded by family in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.

Born June 23, 1947, in Buffalo, Geri was the daughter of the late John Kowal and Stephanie Pacifici, and sister to Diane Priester, Donna Grier, Ron Pacifici, and predeceased by Philip Kowal and Eileen Kowal.

After graduating from high school in Buffalo, Geri joined the U.S. Army, where she met her husband, John E. Hodgins, and together they raised five children. Geraldine is survived by Phillip Hodgins and wife Annbritt, Cooperstown; Patrick Hodgins and wife Andrea, Swiftwater, Pennsylvania; Keith Hodgins and wife Mala, Metuchen, New Jersey; Krista Stracuzzi and her husband David, Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Kate Hodgins and her husband, Barry Vincent, Seattle, Washington.

Geri was devoted to her family and is additionally survived by 11 grandchildren, Victoria, Finn, Maya, Emma, Willow, Anya, Nisha, Hudson, Kellen, Noah and Grayson. She devoted herself to being the best mother possible and her children and grandchildren were her most treasured accomplishment.

Incredibly vivacious and hardworking, Geri enjoyed playing piano, reading, and knitting.

The viewing was from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28 at Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, 23 N. 9th Street, Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, followed by the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at the Church of Saint Luke, 818 Main Street, Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
