VERSAILLES, Ky. - Mrs. Barbara Louise Rutler, 95, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016, in a Versailles, Kentucky healthcare facility.
Mrs. Rutler was born in New City, New York on Aug. 19, 1920, daughter of the late Henry Zyfers and the late Tona VanderHave Zyfers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Ernest Rutler, on Jan. 25, 2015; her two brothers, Henry Zyfers and Lester Zyfers; and by a sister, Laurina Sieben.
Mrs. Rutler was a homemaker and was very supportive of her husband in starting Rutler Screen Printing in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, which is now located in Easton, Pennsylvania. She was a member of the Mount Wellington Red Hatters and was very active in the Springfield Historical Society in New York. She, along with her husband, served as the Grand Marshall of the annual Springfield Fourth of July Parade.
Survivors include a daughter, Laurina Csordas; her husband, Andrew of Lexington, Ky.; a son, Gregory Rutler and his wife, Janet of Afton; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, July 6, in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Taylor Manor, 300 Berry Avenue, Versailles, KY 40383.
